Therese Grob, said to be Schubert's first love, and who he is supposed to have wanted to marry, got married on this day, 21st November, 200 years ago. Her husband was Johann Bergmann, a master baker. Despite suggestions in many old biographies that suggest that Therese did not marry for love, they had four children before Schubert died.
