Undergraduate Essay Prize
The Schubert Institute is pleased to inaugurate the Undergraduate Essay Prize.
This prize (awarded annually) is open to all undergraduate music students. Submissions of between 2,500-3,000 words are invited on any aspect of Schubert's life and music, his wider circle, cultural context, and reception history.
Submissions will be assessed by an independent panel.
The winner will receive a prize of £250 and an invitation to publish their essay in the Institute's journal, The Schubertian.

Please send submissions as PDFs, with your name, degree course, and institutional affiliation listed in the email.
Membership (£5 for students) is required at the time of submission.
